Chemical & Energy
Chemical plants and energy installations operate in aggressive environments where corrosion resistance is non-negotiable. Hansemut supplies Titanium Grade 2 ingots from EU warehouse stock — with mill certificates, immediate availability and full ASTM compliance.
Sourcing corrosion-resistant metals for process environments.
Aggressive media compatibility
Heat exchangers and reactor vessels handle chlorides, acids and high-temperature brine. Material selection errors lead to catastrophic failures and unplanned shutdowns.
Long lead times from mills
Ordering titanium directly from mills means 8-16 week lead times. For maintenance and repair, this is unacceptable — downtime costs exceed material costs.
Certification for pressure equipment
PED 2014/68/EU and ASME BPVC require traceable material certificates. Incomplete documentation blocks fabrication approval for pressure-bearing components.
Titanium from EU stock — certified and immediately available.
EU warehouse stock
Approximately 20 tons of Titanium Grade 2 in our EU warehouse (Hungary). Delivery FCA in under 48 hours — for planned production and urgent repairs alike.
EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates
Every ingot ships with a 3.1 inspection certificate including chemical analysis and mechanical test values. Ready for PED and ASME documentation.
Cut-to-size service
Round bars and plates can be cut to your dimensions from warehouse stock. Reduces your machining waste and lead time.

How titanium withstands aggressive process environments

Corrosion-Resistant Reactor Components
Titanium Grade 2 bars and plates are machined into reactor internals, baffles and valve bodies for chemical plants handling chloride solutions, oxidizing acids and high-temperature brine. Passive oxide layer provides immunity to pitting and crevice corrosion up to 80C.

Electrolysis Electrodes and Cell Components
Titanium Grade 2 is used as substrate material for dimensionally stable anodes (DSA) in chlor-alkali electrolysis and water treatment. Low electrical resistivity and excellent anodic stability extend electrode service life beyond 10,000 operating hours.
Compliance for chemical and energy applications
Certified quality management across all manufacturer partners.
Full REACH compliance for the European market.
Certificate of Analysis with complete analytics for every batch.
Material Safety Data Sheet for every delivered product.

Grade 2 resists dilute HCl well. For concentrated HCl or reducing acids, higher grades may be needed. We can advise on material selection for your specific media.
Round bars from 6-200 mm diameter, plates from 2-50 mm thickness. Custom cuts from stock within 48 hours. Non-standard dimensions by arrangement.
Yes. All stock material ships with EN 10204 3.1 certificates. Chemical analysis and mechanical test values meet PED 2014/68/EU requirements.
